Northshore Christian Academy is the largest evangelical K-8 in Snohomish County, occupying a 33-acre campus in south Everett near Paine Field and the Boeing assembly plant. Founded in 1995 as a ministry of Northshore Christian Church and now operating as an independent ministry of that congregation, NCA enrolls close to 900 students from preschool through eighth grade — a footprint and enrollment scale that sets it apart from the smaller north-Sound Christian alternatives like Cedar Park Christian in Bothell and Grace Academy in Marysville.
In September 2019, the U.S. Department of Education named NCA a National Blue Ribbon School in the Exemplary High Performing category — the only private school recipient on the West Coast that year. The recognition, nominated by the Council for American Private Education, reflects top-15-percent national performance in reading and mathematics, and remains NCA's principal external academic credential. Local coverage in The Daily Herald described it as a milestone for the Snohomish County school community.
Programming is STEM- and arts-rich within an evangelical Christian framework: foreign-language instruction begins in elementary grades, an early-learning program serves ages one through five, and middle-school athletics run through ACSI competitive leagues. Among Pacific Northwest Christian K-8s, NCA's Blue Ribbon plus campus scale make it the best-credentialed evangelical option in the Seattle metro.
