Lynden Academy is a small alternative high school inside the Lynden School District in northern Whatcom County, with roughly 420 students across the K-12 levels it serves. It operates from 1986 Main Street in Lynden, separately from the comprehensive Lynden High School, and sits in WIAA's smallest classification (1B) for athletics purposes.
The Academy reports school-improvement progress to the elected Lynden board each fall and is included in district capital planning — a $25.5M Facilities, Safety and Technology Levy on the February 10, 2026 ballot would, among other things, fund property acquisition and renovation supporting Academy operations. Graduation rates run near 90%.
