Lynden High School is the comprehensive 2A school for the Lynden School District in north Whatcom County, serving about 1,010 students. SAT means run roughly 140 points above state median (~1,220) and AP pass rates are in the mid-70s, but four-year graduation rates trail the state average at about 80%.
Lynden's facility story has been the dominant local-news theme of 2024—25: the district lost three consecutive bond votes for a replacement high-school campus before pulling new-campus proposals from the ballot. Voters will instead see a downsized $25.5M Facilities, Safety and Technology Levy on the February 10, 2026 special election. The district adopted a pre-Labor Day calendar for 2025-26 against a $67.7M general-fund budget.
