Woodinville Montessori School (WMS) is the only Montessori program in Washington State accredited through high school by both the American Montessori Society and the Northwest Association of Independent Schools. The Woodinville campus at 13965 NE 166th Street is the school's original site and historically anchors early childhood and elementary programming, while the larger Bothell campus on North Creek Parkway carries Middle School through grade 12.
WMS occupies a specific niche: it is the leading K-12 Montessori program in the greater Seattle area and the only AMS-and-NWAIS jointly accredited Montessori through 12th grade in the Pacific Northwest. Within Eastside Montessori options — Eastside Montessori, Park Avenue Montessori, Eton School (which uses Montessori-influenced methods at the elementary level) — WMS is alone in carrying the Montessori arc all the way through high school. That single fact is what differentiates the school in family searches.
Across both campuses, WMS delivers the full Montessori arc beginning at 18 months — Toddler, Early Childhood, Lower Elementary, Upper Elementary, Middle School, and a small high school program with college counseling — layered with athletics, clubs, and an internal college-counseling track. Combined enrollment runs in the low hundreds with student-teacher ratios in the 12-16:1 range. Leadership under Head of School Sunita Pailoor has emphasized self-advocacy and collaborative work alongside academic preparation.
