W. F. West High School is the comprehensive high school of the Chehalis School District in Lewis County, serving about 1,017 students in grades 9–12. The school posts standout academic outcomes: a 97.6% four-year graduation rate, 38% of seniors graduating with honors, 30 honors courses, 8 advanced courses, and 14 College in the High School programs.
W.F. West graduates received over $3.2 million in scholarships in 2024, and the school is recognized in PolarisList's Washington Harvard/Princeton/MIT placement rankings. Bearcat Stadium completed an 80%-donor-funded renovation between August 2023 and May 2025, adding new drainage, lighting, and professional-grade turf, and the on-campus baseball fields completed renovations before the 2025 season.
