Shorecrest High School is one of two comprehensive high schools in Shoreline School District, founded in 1961 and serving about 1,507 students in grades 9–12 just north of Seattle's city limits. The school's mascot is the Highlanders (Otis the Fighting Scot), and the campus completed a phased $94 million rebuild in 2012 and 2014 — a three-story academic building with a commons and library, a separate gymnasium and athletic complex, and a 450-seat performing-arts theater.
Shorecrest posts above-state-average results: roughly 80.5% of 10th-graders proficient in SBA ELA in 2023–24, compared to 66% statewide. AP participation runs around 43%. The school is recognized in PolarisList's Washington Harvard/Princeton/MIT placement rankings.
