River Ridge High School, known locally as Ridge, is one of three comprehensive high schools in North Thurston Public Schools, the largest district in Thurston County. The campus sits on River Ridge Drive in northern Lacey, near the Nisqually Reach, and serves about 1,560 students drawn from the eastern suburbs of Olympia.
The Hawks compete in the 3A South Sound Conference. Recent athletic seasons have included a 20-3 win over crosstown rival North Thurston during the 2025 football year and an active baseball, basketball, and band program; the band sponsors a car show at the annual Lacey Spring Fun Fair.
Academically the school offers Advanced Placement courses, CTE programs, and Running Start partnerships with South Puget Sound Community College, with an AP participation rate of roughly 21% reported by U.S. News. The campus also includes the Aspire program, a small alternative learning option, and the school maintains active fine-arts offerings in band, choir, theater, and visual art for its student body.
