Prosser High School serves about 880 students from the Yakima Valley wine country in Benton County, drawing from Prosser, Whitstran, and surrounding agricultural communities. The campus on Paterson Road replaced a 1936 building that had grown overcrowded and now anchors the Prosser School District alongside a long-established athletics complex.
Academics include Advanced Placement courses, Gifted and Talented offerings, and an active Career and Technical Education program with strong agriculture, FFA, and health-sciences pathways. The school's Running Start partnerships with regional community colleges remain a popular dual-credit route for juniors and seniors.
The Mustangs compete at the 2A level in the Central Washington Athletic Conference and have built one of the region's most consistent boys basketball programs. In March 2025 the team reached the WIAA 2A state championship game, falling 74-53 to Bremerton, while girls basketball reached the 2A state final in 2026 and was named the 2A Academic State Champion. Football, wrestling, and baseball also field competitive teams, and the school's Friday-night culture remains a defining feature of community life in Prosser.
