Olympia High School is a 4A comprehensive school in the Olympia School District serving about 1,940 students as the Bears. It is the academic flagship of the South Sound: SAT means around 1,240, AP pass rates above 86% (one of the highest in the region), four-year graduation in the low 90s, and direct-to-four-year-college enrollment near 47%.
The Olympia district is building its 2026-27 budget under declining-enrollment pressure typical of Western Washington's mid-size urban districts. In partnership with the Washington State Department of Commerce, the district received a Child Care Partnership Grant to expand affordable early-learning capacity, including the possibility of licensed child care in district facilities. The Class of 2026 will graduate June 11, 2026 at St. Martin's University.
