North Thurston High School (NTHS) is the original comprehensive high school of North Thurston Public Schools in Lacey, opened in 1955 and one of three comprehensive high schools in the district. The school competes in WIAA's 3A Narrows League, which mixes 3A and 4A schools across Pierce and Thurston Counties.
NTHS offers Advanced Placement coursework and a Gifted & Talented program, and is recognized in PolarisList's Washington Harvard/Princeton/MIT placement rankings. The Class of 2025 graduated at Saint Martin's University's Marcus Pavilion in June 2025, the same neighboring-university venue used by sister schools Timberline and River Ridge. The school maintains active student programming around prom, athletics, and college-and-career readiness, with district communications ongoing through monthly family newsletters.
