Meadowdale High School is a 3A comprehensive school in the Edmonds School District serving roughly 1,500 students as the Mavericks in south Snohomish County. Academic performance is well above state median: SAT means around 1,200, AP pass rates above 73%, and four-year graduation in the low 90s.
In early March 2026, a shooting incident near the Meadowdale campus led to a brief lockdown of the high school, middle school, and two nearby elementaries; the lockdowns were lifted within about 30 minutes after law enforcement secured the scene. The Edmonds district is working through a boundary-review process with a community open house in May 2026, and has published the 2026-27 school year calendar. State testing windows and family-survey periods continue under the district's standard cadence.
