Lincoln High School is a 4A comprehensive school in Seattle Public Schools serving about 1,780 students as the Lynx. Originally opened in 1907 and reopened to students in 2019 after a 38-year closure, Lincoln has rapidly become one of the strongest public high schools in Washington: US News 2025 ranked it #1 in Seattle and #5 in Washington overall.
Academic outcomes back the ranking: SAT means around 1,247, AP pass rates above 85%, four-year graduation around 96%, and a deep slate of Running Start dual-enrollment options. Seattle Public Schools is rolling out a districtwide cellphone-use procedure beginning May 4, 2026, with grade-9-12 phones kept away during class but permitted during lunch and passing periods. The Class of 2026 will graduate June 16 at McCaw Hall.
