Klahowya Secondary School is a 1A combined 6-12 secondary campus in the Central Kitsap School District serving roughly 1,030 students as the Eagles. Established in 1997, it sits on Newberry Hill Road northwest of Silverdale and serves both middle- and high-school grades on a single campus.
Reading proficiency at Klahowya runs above the state average — around 63% on the SBA — and the school posts a four-year graduation rate near 87%. In February 2025, the school installed a sign from the now-retired MV Klahowya, the Washington State Ferries vessel that operated from 1958 to 2017 and shares the school's name. The combined-grade structure gives Klahowya a smaller cohort feel than the comprehensive 4A schools elsewhere in Kitsap County.
