King's Way Christian Schools is the largest Christian school in Southwest Washington, occupying a 35-acre campus in Hazel Dell north of downtown Vancouver. Founded in 1971 as a ministry of King's Way Foursquare Church and now operating independently, the school enrolls roughly 1,040 students from infant care through twelfth grade — billed as the only faith-based school in the region offering that full continuum.
In Clark County, King's Way's peer set is small: Vancouver Christian School and a handful of smaller K-8 evangelical academies cover the Christian segment, and the secular-independent market in SW Washington is thin compared with the I-5-corridor cities to the north. Most academic comparisons cross the river to Portland's Christian schools (Westside Christian, Portland Christian) or stretch up to Cascade Christian in Pierce County. Tuition runs around $15,500, with about 65 percent of teachers holding master's degrees and a dual-credit partnership with Clark College extending the curriculum.
The Knights compete in the WIAA Trico League across 23 sports; football is a regular fixture in The Columbian's prep coverage. King's Way's distinguishing structural feature is scale and continuity — for evangelical families in SW Washington it is effectively the only large-scale K-12 option, which makes the school's institutional capacity (campus modernization, dual-credit, athletic depth) more comparable to mid-size public high schools than to most other Christian peers.
