The International School is a 1A grade-6-12 choice school in the Bellevue School District serving 608 students total (327 in grades 9-12) on a small Bellevue campus. The signature "seven-by-seven" curriculum has students pursue seven core subjects — English, Science, Math, Social Studies, Physical Education, Fine Arts, and French — across all seven years of attendance.
Academic outcomes place the school among the strongest in Washington: 83% of students score proficient or above in math, 93% in reading. Admissions are by district lottery with a waitlist that opened January 22, 2026 for the 2026-27 school year. In April 2026 the school faced a last-minute prom-venue change after the Columbia Tower Club announced its closure on April 30, 2026.
