Hazen Senior High School in Renton serves about 1,796 students in grades 9–12 as one of the comprehensive high schools in Renton School District 403, with a 24:1 student/teacher ratio. The school offers Advanced Placement (35% participation) and dual-credit pathways, including the Renton Promise program that gives graduates tuition-free access to Renton Technical College.
A major modernization project began in summer 2025 and runs through 2028: the work includes nine modernized science classrooms, additional general-education classrooms, and a seismic upgrade of the building including the natatorium. Hazen is recognized in PolarisList's Washington Harvard/Princeton/MIT placement rankings, and the school's Divina Voce Choir placed first in state in 2025, repeating its 2017 title.
