Coupeville High School sits on Main Street in the historic seaport of Coupeville on Whidbey Island, the only public high school in the small Coupeville School District. About 256 students attend, drawn from across central Whidbey, including the Ebey's Landing National Historical Reserve and the surrounding Island County farming community.
The school offers Advanced Placement coursework, a Highly Capable program, and CTE pathways, and benefits from proximity to Skagit Valley College's Whidbey Island Campus for dual-credit study. Its small size supports tight teacher-student relationships, and the school is regularly recognized in Whidbey News-Times features that profile graduating-class valedictorians and student-athletes.
The Wolves compete in the Northwest 2B/1B League. Independent local site Coupeville Sports and the Whidbey News-Times provide thorough coverage; recent reporting has highlighted football all-conference selections, returning swimmer Finn Price's bid for a third state appearance, and a deep ninth-grade track and field class with multiple athletes ranked in the state's 2B top 10. Football, basketball, soccer, swimming, and track and field anchor the year-round athletic calendar at the small island campus.
