Colville Senior High School serves the Stevens County seat of Colville, a town of about 5,000 in the forested upper Columbia country between Spokane and the Canadian border. The school is the only high school in the Colville School District and enrolls roughly 510 students in grades 9-12, drawing from a wide rural attendance area.
The campus is located at 154 Highway 20 East and is paired with Colville Junior High next door. The Indians compete in the Northeast A League under WIAA Class 1A, fielding football, basketball, volleyball, wrestling, cross country, and track teams that regularly appear in Spokesman-Review and Statesman-Examiner sports coverage.
Academically the school offers Advanced Placement courses, CTE programs in trades and natural resources reflective of the timber-and-mining region, and dual credit through Spokane Community College. Aging buildings dating from 1940 to 1993 have been a persistent district concern; a 2024 capital levy for safety, security, and HVAC improvements failed at the ballot before a later replacement passed, as reported by the Spokesman-Review and tracked through the Colville School District board.
