Cedar Tree Classical Christian School is an independent K-12 classical Christian school on a 15-acre campus in Ridgefield, just north of Vancouver. Founded in 1999 out of Hazel Dell Evangelical Free Church, the school now serves about 230 students drawn from Vancouver, Battle Ground, Ridgefield, Woodland, Camas, and Washougal — effectively the entire Clark County exurban radius.
In the southwest Washington classical-Christian peer set, Cedar Tree is grouped with King's Way Christian (Vancouver), Hockinson Community Christian, and Cascade Christian's southern campuses. Across the Columbia in Portland, families also compare Cedar Tree to Veritas School (Newberg) and Trinity Academy. The classical methodology — trivium-based, Latin-required, integrated theology — distinguishes Cedar Tree from the more conventional evangelical K-12 programs nearby and aligns it with the broader Association of Classical Christian Schools (ACCS) network.
Reported indicators are strong for a small classical school: average SAT around 1370, Math 680 / Verbal 690. Graduates pursue a mix of Christian colleges, regional public universities, and selective liberal-arts schools. The 15-acre rural-Ridgefield campus gives more outdoor and athletic space than most urban private K-12s of comparable size, which is a real differentiator in the Vancouver-area private-school market.
