Battle Ground High School is the older of two comprehensive high schools in Battle Ground Public Schools, located in northern Clark County about 20 miles north of Vancouver. It enrolls roughly 1,850 students - the largest in this batch outside South Kitsap - and competes as the Tigers in the 4A Greater St. Helens League against Heritage, Skyview, Camas, and Union.
Academics include Advanced Placement coursework, dual-credit options, and the district's signature Center for Agriculture, Science, and Environmental Education (CASEE), a half-day STEM and natural-resources program serving juniors and seniors. The school graduates roughly 88 percent of its students.
The district has been navigating significant budget pressure since a February 2025 educational programs and operations levy failure. The Columbian has reported that Battle Ground Public Schools cut roughly $20 million from its 2025-26 budget and approved teacher and administrator layoffs, then announced plans in April 2026 to eliminate more than 130 positions and pared back CASEE access for current juniors. Voters were asked to consider a replacement levy on the February 10, 2026 ballot.
