Academy Northwest is a private accredited Christian K-12 school based in Woodinville, established in 1981 and operating from offices at 18915 142nd Avenue NE. The school is unusual among Washington private schools in offering both a full-time day program and a Home Education Extension network with learning centers spread across the state — letting homeschooling families enroll while accessing certified-teacher classes and a Washington-approved diploma.
Among Washington's accredited Christian homeschool-hybrid options, ANW is one of the longest-running, predating the rise of online-only competitors like Enlightium Academy. The hybrid model — flexibility for homeschooling families plus accreditation, NHS chapter access, social events, and a recognized diploma — is the program's distinguishing feature, and parent reviews consistently cite this combination as the reason for choosing ANW over either pure homeschooling or a traditional private day program.
The school enrolls roughly 300 students at any time across both tracks, with a 12:1 student-teacher ratio in the day program. Curriculum is structured around biblical principles and an individualized academic plan, with families choosing the balance of home-based and on-site instruction. ANW publishes a college-going rate around 42% for graduates pursuing four-year degrees. The hybrid model has made it a long-running fixture of the Pacific Northwest homeschool ecosystem, drawing families from Snohomish, King, and surrounding counties.
